Structural furlers have been installed on racing sailboat for a long time. They are light and support mast loads. This high performance system is also fitted on ocean cruising yachts for headsails (Jib, Staysail). Available from 40′ in classic or endless line drum design.
THE STK BENEFITS:
⊕ Gain in weight (around 3 times lighter than a traditional furling system)
⊕ High torque power (due to the large diameter of the low profile drum)
⊕ Maximized luff
⊕ Simple installation. Different terminals
⊕ Resistant and tested under high load
⊕ Possibility to tight up the luff thanks to a 2-to-1 block fitted under the drum
⊕ Available in classic or endless line drum design, various terminals from toggle to screwed connection with the forestay
⊕ Numerous possible configurations (top and bottom)
